By now it is no longer waterlogged. I also learned that they are going to surround their complex with a waterproof wall. I am making my place a little more waterproof as well.

Saludos,Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05340834139819735298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4079789370166858944.post-8006283979036829302007-05-03T20:32:00.000-03:002007-05-03T20:32:00.000-03:00I saw the two torres in you neighborhood this morn...I saw the two torres in you neighborhood this morning - my remise driver from the airport was an older guy who lived near EZE. He assured me that traffic would be too heavy to take the autopista very far ...
I think he was probably familar with the city before they put in those new-fangled freeways ...

Anyway, those towers really look out of place. I couldn't see whether the construction site was still waterlogged.

Cheers,

JohnSFOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04846379168854781828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4079789370166858944.post-39291013416236347012007-05-03T13:59:00.000-03:002007-05-03T13:59:00.000-03:00Hi John,Thanks I got your e-mail. Even I could have handled the conversation in Spanish with the ER triage nurse: He tragado dos litros de líquido y no puedo orinar. ¡Voy a explotar muy pronto! Necesito un catéter Foley. Gracias.

As we say in English: TMI!

JohnSFOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04846379168854781828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4079789370166858944.post-3736516534488991392007-05-01T08:11:00.000-03:002007-05-01T08:11:00.000-03:00Hi John,Thanks. I don't know how well they comunicated with the doctor though.

I was lucky to get a really good doctor checking in on me. I will post his info later. On his card I noticed that he was part of Best Doctors from the United States. He is not affiliated to OSDE though.

www.bestdoctors.com

I did not speak to him in English but I am sure his English must have been good. He told me that he spent three years in Boston and that he loved it there.

I was happy overall with the treatment there. The rooms where also confortable. I was tempted to try Los Arcos but it is so new, and other family members have gone to La Trinidad before so I knew that place. I would recomend it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05340834139819735298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4079789370166858944.post-16980962093468713182007-05-01T02:36:00.000-03:002007-05-01T02:36:00.000-03:00Frank, I'm sorry to hear of your hospitalization. ...Frank, I'm sorry to hear of your hospitalization. La Trinidad is close to my apartment, and I've passed by it many times. I figured that if I ever needed urgent medical attention, I'd go there.

What was your overall impression of the hospital (in terms of medical care)? Is it affiliated with one of the medical schools in BsAs?

I'm sure you communciated with them in castellano, so I don't know how much the physicans there might understand English (I figure if I'm in that much pain to go to a hospital, I might have trouble explaining any symptoms in Spanish). I know at least a couple of the medical schools in BsAs require a high level of English (basically I think to be able to read medical texts and papers, and to be able to communicate with other physicians).

JohnSFOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04846379168854781828noreply@blogger.com
