“The heart was made to be broken”
--Oscar Wilde
My two year old: "Papi, mi corazon esta rompido / My heart is broken"
Me: "Why sweetheart?"
2 year old: "Lucas no me quiere mas / Lucas does not like me anymore"
Lucas is supposed to be her "boyfriend".
And so I get a peek into the future. For now, she makes me laugh and makes me wonder why I didn't have children earlier in life.

Romantic love really does start young. My niece has been working on getting a boyfriend since that age...finally after 9 years she has her first at 11!
Hi Holly,
So you are saying I should invest in a shotgun now as opposed to later?
Just remember Frank, your daughter got half her "dating" genes from you. So you'll know what to expect in the future.
John
Given that this is such a short post, there is a remarkable amount of truth, love and humour in it.
First it made me laugh, then it made me think, then it made me a little melancholic - beautiful!
John,
D'oh!!!
Coog,
That is exactly what I went through. Thanks for the wonderful compliment.
That is absolutely adorable.
By the way, I just looked at your main site for the first time, and I pouted and said, ":-( I want a cookie! :-("
Those look fabulous!

And of course they are since that little guy is so cute. Congratulations!
Hi Tina,
Thanks! Come by the store and you can try some of the cookies first hand and have a coffee while you shop and pick out the cookies you want to take with you.
Frank,
Ah, yes, they do start young.
As the mother of four daughters (two of whom are in love at the moment at 19 and 21) I smile to think of the many similar conversations you are going to have in the future with your daughter....
Besos,
Maya
