One of the plusses of having a blog is that sometimes information comes to me. This time I was reached by a non profit in New York. The Fresh Air Fund has provided free summer vacations to New York City children since 1877.
It is already mid July and they still need help. There are three ways in which you can help them:
1. They need volunteer host families to host an inner city child
2. You could donate money
3. You can write about them and help spread the word
I had never heard of this non-profit, but so far I like what I have seen.
Here is a short article from the New York Times on them: What´s Outside the Big City?
